Supervising Senior Accountant — Audit / Assurance

A well-established, nationally recognized CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Supervising Senior Accountant to join its growing audit and assurance practice. The audit practice is one of the fastest-growing areas of the firm, and this role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on learning, and a clear path for advancement. This role is based in Birmingham, AL, with additional firm locations across the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute audit and assurance engagement activities in a manner that meets client expectations and firm quality standards

• Communicate with Directors and Managers throughout all phases of engagements, including planning, scheduling, and client interactions

• Manage workload with a sense of urgency to meet both internal and client deadlines accurately and diligently

• Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment where increased responsibility is both offered and expected as you grow with the firm

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university

• Active CPA license required

• 5–7 years of public accounting experience

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical abilities, good judgment, and professional skepticism

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, staff, and clients

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software
