Concrete Estimator

A well-established and highly respected civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Concrete Construction Estimator to join their growing team. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete and civil construction projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete scopes including foundations, flatwork, structural concrete, paving, site concrete, and related civil work
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop detailed bid packages and project budgets
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and executives during preconstruction and bidding phases
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as needed
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Assist with project handoff and turnover to operations teams upon award

Qualifications

• 3 years of estimating experience within concrete or civil construction
• Strong understanding of concrete construction means, methods, materials, and pricing
• Experience estimating projects such as foundations, paving, structural concrete, site development, utilities, or heavy civil scopes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required

Preferred Experience

• Commercial concrete construction
• DOT, municipal, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Self-perform concrete operations
• Conceptual and hard-bid estimating
• Experience with Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid, Sage, Procore, or similar platforms
