Commercial Account Manager


A growing independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to support continued expansion within its commercial lines division. The Commercial Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to commercial clients by managing day-to-day account activities, strengthening carrier relationships, and delivering high-touch service across a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts
  • Build, strengthen, and enrich relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, policy servicing needs, and account management activities
  • Discuss coverage options, pricing strategies, and risk management solutions with clients and prospects
  • Partner with producers and service teams to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Coordinate policy renewals, endorsements, and account documentation
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and account activity
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve client retention and account growth
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients regarding insurance coverages and risk management strategies
  • Support a collaborative, team-focused environment while delivering high-quality service


Required Qualifications:

  • Active California Property & Casualty License required
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial insurance accounts and client relationships
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and risk management principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Self-motivated professional with a desire for continuous learning and career development
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package with a salary range of approximately $65,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience
