Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Community Bank
A growing community bank is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team.
This individual will play a key role in the overall financial management and strategic direction of the bank while working closely with leadership, department heads, and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is someone who understands community banking, enjoys operating in a collaborative environment, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the bank’s accounting and financial reporting functions
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning processes
- Prepare and present financial reports and performance metrics to executive leadership and the Board
- Participate in ALCO processes, liquidity management, and interest rate risk discussions
- Monitor profitability, expense management, and overall financial performance
- Oversee Call Report preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards
- Coordinate relationships with auditors, examiners, and external partners
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational efficiencies
- Support and develop accounting and finance staff
- Assist in evaluating new products, branch opportunities, and other bank initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Prior banking or financial institution experience required
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and community bank operations
- Familiarity with ALCO, liquidity management, and regulatory expectations
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, board members, and regulators
- Collaborative leadership style with a willingness to remain involved in day-to-day operations when needed
