What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Engineer (Tennessee) position at The Adecco Group?
Our client, an engineering design and consulting firm, is hiring a Structural Engineer (PE) in Chattanooga, TN. This position will act as a lead for the structural engineering department and oversee the design and delivery of commercial and industrial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring delivery of high-quality commercial and industrial structures.
- Develop structural designs, calculations, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction site observations and inspections
- Coordinate with architects, design professionals, and contractors throughout all phases of the project
- Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations
- Occasional travel to construction sites, client meetings, and the Chattanooga office may be required. (30% or less)
Qualifications:
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 6 years of structural engineering experience
- Commercial or industrial construction background is required
- Project Management experience preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as this client is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at any time.
