Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full-Time | Direct Hire
📍 Tampa, FL
💰 $18 – $23 per hour (based on experience)
🕘 Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Make an Impact in Patient Care
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a growing and supportive healthcare team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will primarily support the Rheumatology department, assisting providers in delivering high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule and benefits starting on Day One.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Greet, room, and prepare patients for exams and procedures with professionalism and empathy
- Collect and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical history in Epic EMR
- Assist providers during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)
- Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant exam rooms and clinical equipment
Administrative & Clinic Support
- Support scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out as needed
- Float between clinic locations across the Tampa area when assigned
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, clinical regulations, and organizational policies
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
- Rheumatology experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Ability to float between Tampa-area clinic locations as needed
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
