Role Overview: Support the efficient operation of automated distribution equipment within a Distribution Center, ensuring system functionality, diagnosis, and repair of electrical and mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Systems Manager in maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and water systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 600 volts, AC/DC motors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and related components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic; load and configure PLCs, HMI, and scanners.
• Perform testing and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and system upgrades.
• Utilize computer hardware and software, including MS Office and MHE software like RSLogix and Sort Director, for system setup and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards, maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and document repairs in CMMS/EAM systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues related to materials handling and automated systems.
• Work extended hours as needed to meet operational goals.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED required; technical training or experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience, with a strong electrical background.
• Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical diagrams, troubleshooting electrical systems, and using MHE software.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and control systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation issues.
