Controller – Construction & Real Estate | Hybrid (Downtown Los Angeles)
$130K–$160K 10% Bonus Benefits | Hybrid (2 WFH days/week)
We’re a vertically integrated real estate investment firm in Downtown LA seeking a hands-on Controller with experience in real estate, construction, and multi-entity accounting (LLCs, Trusts, S Corps, PE). This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager ready to step up into a lead role with a collaborative and close-knit team.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting for a diverse portfolio (office, industrial, data center PE)
- Lead and mentor a small team, including coordination with offshore support
- Manage month-end close, general ledger, capital calls, and distributions
- Review third-party property reports and monthly financials
- Own corporate-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Support tax prep and investor K-1 reporting
- Drive process improvements and team efficiency
✅ What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5–10 years in accounting, with real estate and multi-entity experience
- Deep Excel expertise strong knowledge of IRR and cash-on-cash return
- Proficiency in Yardi (required); Juniper Square is a plus
- Skilled at managing teams and reviewing work (not in the weeds, but leading the charge)
