Ensures regulatory compliance of all utility operations, completion of required reports, and laboratory testing as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Performs all phases of custodial, maintenance and repairs to other park facilities, equipment, grounds, and electrical and plumbing systems utilizing equipment such as hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors, and other machinery. Responsible for purchasing supplies and materials. Responds to emergency calls for assistance. Will supervise the work of others and act as maintenance supervisor at the South Sulphur Unit in his/her absence. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Graduation from High School or GED.Experience:Four years of facility, equipment, grounds maintenance, or water/wastewater experience.Licensure:Must possess a valid class and#8220;Cand#8221; Texas driverand#8217;s license.Must possess or be able to obtain, within one year of employment, a class "D" Water license and a class and#8220;Dand#8221; Wastewater license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).Must possess or be able to obtain, within three years of employment, a class "C" Wastewater license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).NOTE: Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required license and compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Qualityand#8217;s (TCEQ) Criminal Conviction Guidelines.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:Experience working with the public.Experience working with water or wastewater treatment plants.Licensure:Valid class and#8220;Cand#8221; or "D" Wastewater license and/or a valid class and#8220;Dand#8221; Water license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
