Overview

This role is ideal for certified Medical Technologists with acute care experience who are skilled in complex testing, quality assurance, and delivering accurate, timely results in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing on blood and body fluids
Execute pre-analytic processes including specimen collection, processing, and data entry
Analyze and verify test results, investigating abnormal findings and discrepancies
Perform Blood Bank testing and ensure accurate crossmatching and transfusion support
Maintain quality control standards and participate in performance improvement initiatives
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and reagents
Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and laboratory policies
Correlate laboratory findings with clinical conditions to support patient diagnosis
Assist in training and mentoring laboratory staff and students
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science
ASCP certification (or equivalent: CLS, BB, C, H, M, etc.)
Minimum 1 year of recent Blood Bank experience in an acute care hospital setting
Preferred:
Strong experience in transfusion services and complex lab testing
Experience with high-volume hospital laboratory environments
