Job Description
Overview
A Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Central Florida is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join a high-acuity critical care team. This unit provides intensive monitoring and advanced clinical interventions in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, autonomy, and teamwork.
Night shift candidates are especially encouraged to apply due to immediate staffing needs.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients
Perform frequent assessments and monitor vital signs to identify and respond to life-threatening changes
Utilize clinical judgment to manage complex treatment plans independently
Advocate for patients as part of an interdisciplinary care team
Administer medications and therapies in accordance with evidence-based practice
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN experience
Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (Florida license required within 60 days of relocation)
Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree
Required Certifications (timelines apply):
NIH Stroke Scale – within 30 days of hire
BLS – within 30 days of hire
ACLS – within 6 months of hire
PALS – within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
BSN
