Overview
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager for the Emergency Room in Kansas City, MO. This role provides the opportunity to lead a Level I Trauma Center within a busy, high-acuity emergency department. As ER Nurse Manager, you will oversee patient care delivery, staff management, and quality improvement initiatives in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Responsibilities
Provide operational and clinical leadership for the emergency department.
Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
Manage resources responsibly while supporting organizational goals.
Recruit, mentor, and supervise nursing staff, including performance evaluations and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
Required
Current RN license in Missouri or Compact state.
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care emergency department management experience.
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
ENPC or PALS certification at hire.
TNCC or ATCN certification within 1 year of hire.
Preferred
National specialty certification in emergency nursing or leadership.
Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
