Overview

Join a dynamic Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team caring for critically ill cardiac patients. This role offers a collaborative environment, professional growth, and competitive pay. RNs provide autonomous, high-acuity care, focusing on patient safety, advocacy, and advanced cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality.

• Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and treatment plans.

• Perform high-focus patient care with critical assessment and intervention.

• Monitor hemodynamics, cardiac function, and post-operative recovery closely.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience in ER, ICU, or CVICU (PCU/IMCU experience considered with 2 years).

• Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license.

• BLS certification required.

• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and patient advocacy skills.

Preferred:

• BSN preferred.

• CCRN certification (must be obtained within 2 years).

• NIHSS stroke certification within 30 days of hire.

• Previous CVICU or high-acuity cardiac care experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $27.72 to $39.60 (based on experience)

• Specialty Pay: $1.50/hr

• Night Differential: $4.25/hr
