Job Description
Overview
Join a high-acuity ICU team delivering advanced critical care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This 16-bed unit operates with strong staffing ratios (1:1–1:2), allowing nurses to practice at the top of their license while providing intensive monitoring and life-saving interventions. This role offers strong clinical autonomy, career growth, and access to advanced cardiovascular and trauma services.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring of critical conditions
Utilize clinical judgment to manage and prioritize complex patient care needs
Interpret and respond to vital sign changes and life-threatening situations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with ICU protocols
Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and recovery expectations
Advocate for patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based practice
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license (or compact license with state transfer requirement)
Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience in an acute care setting
BLS certification within 30 days of hire
NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of hire
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
PALS certification within 6 months of hire
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in high-acuity or trauma ICU settings
