Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Repair & Inspection Technician to support our quality and customer commitment. In this role, you will evaluate returned components, identify root causes, and ensure parts meet exact specifications before being repaired, reworked, or returned to service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Disassemble customer-returned components and evaluate for damage, wear, and root cause
Document findings and provide detailed evaluation reports with clear dispositions
Inspect parts using precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications
Clean, repair, or coordinate rework of damaged components as required
Assemble and position parts according to blueprints, drawings, and product knowledge
Secure components using bolts, screws, rivets, clips, and other fasteners, ensuring proper torque and fit
Utilize appropriate assembly tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment to meet drawing and quality requirements
Perform weekly Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to support quality and continuous improvement efforts
Required Education, Training & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Fundamental computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Skills & Experience
Forklift experience
Basic understanding of hydraulic cylinders
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
Root cause analysis experience or interest in learning structured problem-solving methods

Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. Employees regularly work near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid (non-weather) conditions. The noise level is typically loud.
