Texas Hydraulics Inc
Temple, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 12/27/2025

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Repair & Inspection Technician to support our quality and customer commitment. In this role, you will evaluate returned components, identify root causes, and ensure parts meet exact specifications before being repaired, reworked, or returned to service. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working with precision equipment, this role offers meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Disassemble customer-returned components and evaluate for damage, wear, and root cause

  • Document findings and provide detailed evaluation reports with clear dispositions

  • Inspect parts using precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications

  • Clean, repair, or coordinate rework of damaged components as required

  • Assemble and position parts according to blueprints, drawings, and product knowledge

  • Secure components using bolts, screws, rivets, clips, and other fasteners, ensuring proper torque and fit

  • Utilize appropriate assembly tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment to meet drawing and quality requirements

  • Perform weekly Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to support quality and continuous improvement efforts

Required Education, Training & Experience

  • Working knowledge of basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)

  • Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

  • Fundamental computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Forklift experience

  • Basic understanding of hydraulic cylinders

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards

  • Root cause analysis experience or interest in learning structured problem-solving methods

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • You get to fix, inspect, and improve real products, not push paper

  • Every day brings something different, from hands-on repairs to root cause investigations

  • You’ll work with precision tools, blueprints, and quality systems that challenge your skills and help you grow

  • We take quality seriously and give you the time, tools, and support to do the job right

  • You’ll work alongside experienced teammates who value teamwork, accountability, and pride in workmanship
