What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Texas Eye Doctors?
We are looking for a full time ophthalmic technician to join our team and assist in clinic. We are a well established, fast paced, high volume ophthalmology practice and offer a rewarding, enjoyable, and stimulating work environment.
Duties:
- Patient Work Up, which includes documentation of pertinent history, obtaining visual acuity, refraction, BAT testing, and tonometry
- Scribe for physician when able.
- Diagnostic imaging - Visual Field, IOL, Optos, OCT, A-scan, B- scan
- Assist with in-office surgical procedures
- Clinic clean up and shut down, which includes wiping down exam rooms, covering equipment, shutting down diagnostic testing
Skills:
- Strong computer and EHR background
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- Strong understanding of HIPAA
- High school degree or equivalent
- Spanish fluency is encouraged

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
