Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Enforcement Division.

This position is a member of our Enforcement Division.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Manage and/or coordinates staff, which involves monitoring case preparation, to assure quality documents and appropriate, effective, and timely enforcement actions.
- Directs staff on TPDES Compliance Monitoring Team activities, which involves coordination with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), monitoring self-reported data to ensure that Significant Non-Compliance (SNC) violations are timely and appropriately addressed, quality of final documents, and that NetDMR business needs are met.
- Complete personnel management functions, which includes interviewing, hiring, and developing staff and performance management actions.
- Conducts section meeting; communicate and coordinate with management, including the Division Director, team/work leads, other Divisions, and external entities; and represent the Division at meetings, hearings, trials, conferences and/or seminars related to enforcement issues
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience conducting personnel leadership functions (ex. interviewing and hiring employees, performance management).
- Experience determining compliance with environmental rules, statutes, and/or policies.
- Experience in reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Experience interacting with a regulated community or customer base.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Manager V state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Manager V series.
