HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGOperate and troubleshoot continuous and non-continuous air monitoring instrumentation in accordance with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
Assist with the coordination and/or oversight of contractors regarding the construction of new air monitoring sites; provide training and mentor junior level staff.
Perform QA/QC analysis of continuous and non-continuous data to ensure quality instrument function and performance.
Conduct laboratory control checks/audits on continuous air monitoring instrumentation.
Conduct and document onsite observations of local conditions influencing air quality data.
Conduct non-continuous instrument audits, calibrations, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and/or repairs, and assist with data validation of the PM2.
Assist in deployment of air monitoring instrumentation and facilities. KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic equipment and instrumentation.
Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting continuous and non-continuous air monitoring instrumentation.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience reviewing air monitoring data, or highly technical information, for quality, accuracy, and/or applicability.
Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEGraduation from high school or GED certificate plus four years of full-time experience directly related to the examples of work performed.One year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work which included six semester hours in mathematics, or natural or physical science may be substituted for each year of required experience.ORGraduation from a licensed vocational, technical, or business school with a certificate of completion in the areas directly related to the examples of work performed plus two years of full-time experience directly related to the examples of work performed.ORA certificate of completion in areas directly related to the examples of work performed from a military technical training program plus three years of full-time experience directly related to the examples of work performed. Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.
