Inside Sales & Design Consultant: Bay Area Printing

Bay Area Printing is looking for someone special!

Not just someone to fill a seat, but someone our customers will look forward to seeing every time they walk through the door.

This is an inside sales role for someone with a graphic design background. You’ll help customers figure out what they need, show them what’s possible, and turn their ideas into printed work they’re proud of. If you get a little excited about paper stock, a clean layout, or a customer walking out happy, keep reading.

What you’ll do

• Greet walk-in customers and handle phone and email inquiries with energy and warmth
• Listen first, then recommend the right products, finishes, and quantities for each customer’s goals and budget
• Prepare quotes, follow up on open estimates, and close sales
• Make quick design edits and check customer files to make sure they’re print-ready
• Build lasting relationships with repeat and business accounts
• Work closely with production and design so jobs come out right and on time
• Hit monthly sales goals and earn incentives for doing it

What you bring (required)

• Graphic design experience, professional or through formal training, with a portfolio you can share
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (or equivalent)
• Some understanding of printing: resolution, bleeds, CMYK vs. RGB, paper types, or similar
• At least 1 year in sales, customer service, or another customer-facing role
• Clear, friendly communication in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software and systems, with solid typing skills

Nice to have

• Experience in a print shop, sign shop, or marketing agency
• Familiarity with print estimating process or POS systems

• Prefer working alone most of the day
• Need a remote or hybrid schedule. This position is fully in-store.
