Who We Are
The Office of the Commandant (OOC) serves and supports departments within the Corps of Cadets that are critically engaged in all aspects of student development and the delivery of key services and support. OOC departments work to create environments that help students grow, develop, learn, and enhance their experience at Texas A&M by providing leadership opportunities, experiential education, and connections beyond the classroom. This position will be part of a centralized team that supports the active recruiting efforts of future cadets and their families to Texas A&M and the Corps of Cadets.

The Managing Director Hollingsworth Center is responsible for developing a clear vision and strategy for the Hollingsworth Center for Ethical Leadership Studies. Provides leadership for organization functions to include planning, directing, and evaluating business and education operations of the department. Collaborates with the Commandant, TAMU staff, TAMU stakeholders and support organizations as necessary to establish, integrate and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, and strategic plans. Coordinates functional areas to include leadership development, assessment, mentoring, and career readiness. Serves as a consultant to the Commandant and the Corps leadership team to support alignment of mission, vision, and execution.

Responsibilities
Strategic Engagement
- Strategic engagement, integration, and alignment of priorities against goals within the center as they relate to internal and external stakeholders. Provides leadership for departmental functions to include vision/goal planning and evaluating departmental operations. Recommends new initiatives, programs, and experiences. Fosters continuous learning and improvement.
- Coordinates with University development team to secure additional resources to support and sustain growth in the Hollingsworth Center. Provides strategic budget management and oversees fiscal operations of the center in support of strategic resource development.
- Maintains responsibility for multiple units within department, including supervising management and other staff. Establish long and short-term staffing plans while developing current staff members efficiently and effectively.
- Supports the development of departmental communications and public relations for internal and external audiences.
- Engages with stakeholders in small and large group settings to represent the Hollingsworth Center and the Corps of Cadets.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years related military and/or industry experience in management/leadership.
- Master’s degree.
- 20 years related experience in military and private sector management.
- Additional professional certifications in leadership, management, strategic planning.
- Experience in budget management and program development.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Organizational leadership experience.
