What You’ll Do
- Coordinate documentation and service setup for medical equipment and healthcare services.
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal teams to ensure timely service.
- Prepare and process required documentation such as invoices and delivery paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with company standards.
- Assist with walk-in patient requests and provide technical support for equipment needs.
- Support office operations including monitoring supplies and processing reports.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or durable medical equipment is a plus.
- Provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers on equipment usage and care.
- Handle customer inquiries and process necessary paperwork.
- Verify Medicare/Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information
- Assist with intake processes, including data entry and file preparation.
- Perform minor equipment troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
- Able to multitask and handle large call volume.
- Experience with medical equipment or in healthcare-related roles.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience with customer service and office settings.
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
- Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual).
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
- Maintain referral log
- Prepare invoices for next day routes
- Multi-task with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Email transmission and communication.
- Internet navigation and research.
- Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Office equipment (fax machine, copier, printer, phone, computer, and/or tablet)..
