Job Summary:
The Production Manager & Site Lead serves as the senior operational leader for the Half Moon Bay, California facility, overseeing all day-to-day manufacturing and site operations. This individual is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production performance while maintaining accountability for operational execution, facility readiness, and overall site performance. The role works closely with the onsite engineering team to support new product introductions (NPI), customer project timelines, and production scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all operations at the Half Moon Bay manufacturing facility
- Drive site performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Supervise, mentor, and develop production and administrative staff
- Manage daily production schedules, workflows, and staffing priorities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align manufacturing activities with NPI schedules and customer deliverables
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve throughput and productivity
- Support new product development efforts, including prototype builds and verification/validation (V&V) production
- Facilitate product transfers from NPD into full production across internal sites
- Ensure production readiness through proper documentation, tooling, training, and work instructions
- Maintain compliance with Cal/OSHA, environmental regulations, FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), and ISO 13485 standards
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives and root cause investigations
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Oversee facility operations, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
- 6–10 years of manufacturing experience within a regulated industry environment
- 2–4 years of leadership or people management experience
- Experience with MES and ERP systems; familiarity with Misys, Syteline, and QuickBooks is a plus
- Strong understanding of FDA QSR and ISO 13485 requirements
- Knowledge of California workplace safety and environmental regulations
