Position Overview
This executive will serve as the primary point of leadership for the company's most important US health system relationships β driving strategy, revenue growth, and mutual value creation across a defined portfolio of top-tier IDN accounts.
This role leads a multi-functional account team spanning Sales, GPO, National Accounts, Supply Chain, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Transformation. It requires a seasoned healthcare executive with deep IDN experience, strong executive presence, and the ability to drive commercial results in a complex, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Market Strategy
- Set and lead system-level strategy for the company's most strategic US health system accounts
- Lead joint business planning with customer executives and internal cross-functional teams
- Cultivate and influence relationships with key customer executives and C-suite stakeholders
- Monitor market, customer, and competitor trends and translate into strategic recommendations
- Navigate complexities of legal, compliance, contracting, and GPO relationships
Commercial & Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic account business plans with full P&L accountability
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across the enterprise portfolio
- Hold the account team accountable to business plan metrics and success milestones
- Manage enterprise customer budgets and ensure alignment across all business units
Commercial Excellence
- Lead change management and ensure high-quality, consistent execution across sales and support functions
- Review pipeline funnel regularly through strategic account team cadence calls
- Build account strategies that support revenue growth, market share, and margin goals
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop the strategic account team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with company goals and values
- Engage in Talent Review processes to identify and develop future leaders
- Champion Inclusion & Diversity in talent acquisition and development
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred
- 7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare
- Minimum 5 years of large account management and IDN experience with proven results
- Second-line people management experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in joint business planning and leading cross-functional matrix teams
- Proven ability to negotiate complex sales agreements and deliver enterprise-level solutions
- Deep understanding of the US healthcare landscape, IDN business models, and GPO dynamics
- Exceptional executive communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel approximately 25%
Preferred
- Background in sales management, marketing, or relevant functional leadership within MedTech
- Experience with Health Care Information Technology (HIT)
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in forecasting and funnel management
