As a Technical Supervisor you will have the critical task of managing the priorities and tasks of the engineering technician team. Your experience in fast-paced production lines as well as strong technical background will make you an ideal candidate for this role. What You'll Do
- Provide technical training to all technicians (8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, lean principles)
- Collaborate with the process and quality teams to support on-going projects
- Work with shift managers and other production supervisors daily to create priorities
- Work with cross-functional teams including process engineering, equipment engineering and maintenance teams
- Work with the training coordinators ensuring manufacturing Instructions, versatility matrices and other technical documentation are current
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Focus: Responsibilities include ensuring team safety training, documenting EHS incidents, proactively identifying workplace hazards, and empowering teams towards continuous operational improvements
- Reports OEE (cycle time/availability/performance) and required headcount for each area
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 years' experience working in a production engineering role
- 3 years managing teams of people in a production environment
- Must have experience managing direct reports in a production environment
- Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing and 6-Sigma principles
- Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
