The Inside Sales Associate is in regular contact with the customers for the purpose of achieving agreed upon sales objectives. At the same time, the Inside Sales Associate is responsible for acquiring new accounts via outbound campaign calling and is responsible for rolling-out and increasing partner adoption of tesa’s e-commerce platform. This person will collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Managers, Marketing / Product Managers and Customer Care. This person will also be responsible for managing pricing quotes and inquiries for assigned and prospective customers, ensuring timely and effective follow-up on all leads.

How You'll Help The Formula

  • Develop new and grow existing customers via telephone, e-mail and other relevant electronic communication methods.
  • Win new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and electronic communications.
  • Execute sales strategy and sell the assigned products effectively to increase tesa’s market share.
  • Utilize Customer Resource Management software to build and maintain pipeline, to track calls, capture customer data, competitive activity and manage customer specific pricing.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements; research accounts, identify new target partners and generate awareness.
  • Win new business and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas as defined by the Sales Manager.
  • Plan and organize time to maintain a satisfactory call rate while building new opportunities to achieve objectives.
  • Partner with Marketing/Product Managers and Sales Managers, on activities leading to increased profitable sales.
  • Recommend marketing programs and policies to achieve company objectives.
  • Proactively suggest enhancements and changes that will positively affect the customer service level.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Elements For Your Role

  • Four-year college degree and/or relevant industrial sales experience.
  • 4 years of sales experience, in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical product specifications and applications.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Prior experience with Customer Resource Management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com.
  • Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Able and willing to travel by automobile and airplane up to 5-10%.
  • Previous experience in outbound telephone sales to include cold calling, preferred.
  • Technical background in Industrial Applications, preferred.
  • Prior use of Cisco Phone System, preferred.
