What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host - Resort Pool (Part Time) position at Terranea Resorts?
Overview
In this position, you would be providing excellent customer service and assist in maintaining the appearance of the pool and surrounding areas. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Maintain the company image, vision statement, and Forbes standards.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests and escort them to a lounge chair according to company standards.
- Set Cabanas and lounge chairs according to service standards.
- Introduce the guests’ server as they sit down.
- Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with umbrellas, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, pool deck, and host stand throughout the day.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Check the restroom and perimeter of the pool deck every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
- Know what sustainable initiatives Terranea is currently taking to adhere to the environment
- Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property and perimeter
- Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy
- Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
- Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Qualifications
- Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational individual
- Must be able to speak, comprehend, and read English
- Must have strong communication skills
- Ability to implement and uphold service standards
- Ability to work under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to stand or walk outside for long periods of time
Experience, Education, & Licensure:
- High School diploma preferred
- Must possess valid Food Handler’s card
Compensation
Base Pay Start Rate: $19.19/ Hr.
