Senior ITAM Program Delivery Lead
Our financial services client is seeking a Senior ITAM Program Delivery Lead to serve as the named deputy and day-to-day execution owner for a large-scale, multi-workstream IT Asset Management program. This role operates with full representational authority on behalf of the Program Manager across workstreams, vendor engagements, and executive stakeholders — attending and leading meetings, making working-level decisions, and driving accountability across a complex multi-vendor program without requiring Program Manager involvement in day-to-day execution.
The role owns end-to-end delivery accountability for assigned workstreams, manages day-to-day relationships with external professional services vendors and implementation partners, and represents the program to internal governance bodies, audit functions, and executive steering forums. Specific workstream assignments will be defined upon hire based on program needs and candidate background. This is a delivery ownership role, not a coordination or support function.

Key responsibilities
Workstream delivery ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery accountability for assigned program workstreams — milestone plans, risk logs, stakeholder maps, exit criteria, and audit-ready artifacts at each phase gate
- Drive workstream execution across the full program lifecycle (Assess ? Design ? Build ? Validate ? BAU) without requiring Program Manager involvement in day-to-day execution decisions
- Maintain the dependency register and critical path for assigned workstreams, tracking cross-team sequencing dependencies and surfacing blockers before they impact program milestones
- Manage workstream-level risks, issues, and decisions — escalating to the Program Manager only when executive authority or cross-program trade-offs are required
- Ensure all workstream deliverables are produced to audit-ready standard with defined ownership, retention, and traceability
- 7 years of experience in IT program delivery, IT Asset Management, or technology governance programs in a financial services or comparably regulated environment
- Demonstrated experience operating as a named deputy or second-in-command for a senior program manager — owning workstreams, representing leadership to vendors and executives, and making working-level decisions independently
- Experience managing multiple concurrent external vendor relationships including SOW governance, deliverable review, scope boundary enforcement, and escalation management
- Experience working in ITAM domains: Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), CMDB governance, and asset lifecycle processes in a ServiceNow environment
- Strong executive communication skills: able to run steering readouts, brief senior stakeholders, and represent program status to governance and audit functions without preparation support
- Experience driving cross-functional accountability across 10 stakeholder teams without direct authority
- Exceptional organizational skills: able to manage a complex multi-workstream, multi-vendor program and prevent execution gaps in a high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in Confluence, Jira, and ServiceNow in a program delivery context
- Experience collaborating with offshore or global teams across shared programs and projects
- Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry with familiarity with compliance-driven program delivery
- Experience supporting M&A integration workstreams or technology programs with externally-fixed delivery deadlines
- Familiarity with SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks; experience working alongside a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer without role overlap
- ITIL, IAITAM, PMP, or equivalent certification
- Experience with GRC tooling and governance evidence management in an audit context
- Comfort leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency in day-to-day program management and documentation tasks
