Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of professional human resources work.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in human resources administration or other related acceptable fields may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional human resources experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of departmental safety objectives by coordinating with HR and operational staff to ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of safety program activity to support effective program performance.
- Assist in maintaining and communicating safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Report work related injuries to the third party administrator within required timeframes, while collecting necessary data and coordinating with the administrator to analyze accident causes, identify trends, and prepare all required reports.
- Collaborate with operational divisions and HR staff to help coordinate return to work plans for employees with medical restrictions, including identifying appropriate modified duty tasks.
- Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on core safety programs, including drug testing and workers¿ compensation processes.
- Prioritize daily tasks effectively, manage multiple ongoing assignments, and work both independently and collaboratively within central office and in field locations statewide.
- Deliver training to supervisors and employees on safety-related topics such as drug testing, workers¿ compensation procedures, return to work expectations, and other relevant programs.
- Collaborate with HR and operational staff to identify safety related opportunities and processes for improvement, assist with project coordination, and help communicate progress and outcomes.
