A lower-middle-market private equity firm is looking to add an Associate to its lean, high-performing investment team. This role offers the chance to take on real responsibility in a flat, founder-led environment where individual contributions have a direct impact on investment decisions and firm growth.
The firm is currently in an active investment cycle, deploying capital across several portfolio companies within the industrial and services sectors. With the firm executing five to seven platform investments a year, the team is known for giving associates above-market deal exposure and developing an operationally focused approach to value creation.
The Role
As an Associate, you will:
- Support the full deal process, including financial modeling, valuation, diligence, and transaction execution
- Work alongside portfolio company leadership on strategic and operational initiatives
- Assist with firm-level efforts such as fundraising support and investor communications
- Gain exposure to all stages of the investment lifecycle in a fast-moving, hands-on setting
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of pre-MBA investment banking experience
- Prior private equity or operating experience is helpful but not required
- Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with interest in investor-facing work
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset suited to a small, entrepreneurial firm
