What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Translation Project Manager - Life Sciences and Regulated Content position at Teneo Linguistics Company, LLC?
The role
You will manage translation and language services projects for clients in life sciences, healthcare, and regulated content - end to end. That means owning the client relationship, coordinating resources, managing timelines, ensuring quality, and delivering work that meets our standards and our clients' compliance requirements. You will work closely with the Sr. Project Manager for the department and contribute to building the processes, standards, and documentation that make the department scalable.
What you will do
• Manage projects from intake to delivery for assigned life sciences and healthcare clients - scoping, resource coordination, timeline management, QA, and client communication
• Own the day-to-day client relationship for your accounts - proactive communication, status updates, and managing expectations with professionalism
• Coordinate with TLC's linguist network to assign the right resources for each project - language pairs, subject matter expertise, and availability
• Apply TLC's quality standards to every deliverable - regulated content requires accuracy and auditability, and you will know the difference
• Work within TLC's project management and translation management systems (Plunet and Phrase) to track projects and maintain documentation
• Contribute to process documentation and workflow improvement as the department builds its operating model
• Flag risks, scope changes, or quality issues early - this team operates with transparency and you will be expected to do the same
We are casting a wide net on experience level - if you are a strong junior PM with relevant exposure or a solid mid-level PM looking for a focused, high-standards environment, we want to hear from you. What matters most:
Required
• Experience managing projects with multiple moving parts and real deadlines
• Exposure to life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated content environments
• Strong written communication - you represent TLC to clients and vendors in writing every day
• Detail orientation and follow-through - nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
• Comfortable working independently in a fully virtual environment
• Based in Texas or able to travel to Texas occasionally
Strongly preferred
• Experience in translation, language services, or localization project management
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards or regulated content compliance requirements
• Experience with translation management systems (Phrase, SDL Trados, or similar)
• Background or coursework in life sciences, healthcare, or a related technical field
• Bilingual or multilingual - not required, but valued
