We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and X-ray imaging using digital or 3D scanners.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures for pediatric patients.
- Manage patient records efficiently
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels throughout procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control standards and OSHA regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental environment is highly preferred, especially within pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy relevant to pediatrics, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience taking X-rays (NJ dental license or currently in school taking courses)
- Ability to perform chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry setups confidently while maintaining excellent patient rapport.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. Join us in creating a welcoming environment where children feel safe and cared for! $500.00 signing bonus after 6 months of employment.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
