Warehouse Forklift Operator

The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a critical role in efficiently moving pallets and materials within the Distribution and Reverse Logistics Centers to support production and loading/unloading of customer trailers. The operator ensures safety, accuracy, and timeliness in material handling while maintaining a clean and secure working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move pallets and materials across designated areas
• Position and transport loads using forklift controls to designated locations
• Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the forklift’s lifting device
• Make decisions to optimize pallet and material movement for maximum efficiency
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Achieve expected production requirements consistently
• Perform hand power-sorting of pallets when required
• Assist in loading and unloading customer trailers

Required Qualifications

• Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• High attention to safety and injury prevention
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and flexible shifts
• Must pass background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or training preferred
