Warehouse Forklift Operator- 2nd Shift

The Warehouse Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift is responsible for safely and efficiently moving pallets and materials throughout the Distribution and Reverse Logistics Centers. This role supports production requirements, loads and unloads customer trailers, and performs power-sorting tasks at certain locations. Operators must adhere to strict safety protocols while achieving production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move pallets and materials within designated areas
• Load and unload customer trailers safely and efficiently
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around pallets to transport loads
• Unstack and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting apparatus
• Make operational decisions to maximize material movement efficiency
• Follow company safety procedures to prevent injuries and maintain a safe work environment
• Power-sort pallets by hand as required in some locations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

• Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• High attention level to promote workplace safety and prevent injuries
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required
• Successful passing of background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certificate of training preferred but not required

Work Environment

• Work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, or airborne particulates
• Physically demanding, including bending, stooping, walking, standing for extended periods
• Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and use of hands to handle materials
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment, including eye and ear protection and safety shoes
• Good balance and eye-hand-foot coordination necessary
• Occasional manual lifting of pallets weighing 50-75 pounds
• Noise level varies depending on location
• Specific vision requirements: close, distance, and color vision

Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12am
