Caribou, ME – FT/Days – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Job Description:
Immediate opening for a Tire Technician to work for a locally owned business in Caribou. Excellent daytime schedule. PTO, paid holidays, and employee discounts available. Prior experience helpful, but not required. Full-Time/Days; hours available from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, and 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays. $16.00/hr.
The Tire Technician will change, rotate, and balance tires, as well as perform other simple adjustments and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. The employee will inspect tires to ensure that they are in good condition for driving and discuss the need for potential upgrades, repairs, or replacements with shop staff and customers. Additional duties will include cleaning, assisting customers with purchases and service payments, and loading/unloading shipments for storage or transport.

Responsibilities:
- Remove and reinstall tires using specialized equipment.
- Ensure that tires are properly rotated and balance wheels.
- Inspect tires and valve stems for damage or wear and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Assist customers with tire selections and other purchases.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Unload deliveries and properly organize merchandise for inventory.
- Follow all workplace safety measures as directed.
- Perform other relevant duties as requested by site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Working knowledge of basic tools and techniques used for tire rotations.
- Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to move/lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance.
Schedule: Full-Time/Days; hours available from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, and 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays.
Pay: $16.00/hr.; PTO, paid holidays, and employee discounts available after temp-to-hire period concludes.
