This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, it is essential all bartenders on duty coordinate duties and work as team.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 1-3 years bartending in comparable establishment.
Language Skills:
Read, speak, understand and write English, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Knowledge of other languages a plus.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; calculate percentages, discounts etc.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Computer Skills:
Ability to operate POS

The wage range for this position is $12.14 - $14.00/hr. This position does have the ability to earn tips.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.
- Greets bar guests and interacts with friendly and professional service.
- Maintains a neat, organized bar during service and after service.
- Takes orders from guests and/or wait staff.
- Ensures all alcoholic beverage service adheres to State Laws and company policies; reports to management and logs any alcohol related incidents that occur during shift
- Mixes drinks to order using proper ingredients, including but not limited to liquor, soda, juices, water, sugar, fruit, garnishes and bitters according to venue recipes (where applicable) and adhering to company standards and portion control.
- Serves wine and draft or bottled beer.
- Receives and processes payments using the POS.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
- Prepares and properly stocks/stores garnishes for cocktails and other beverages.
- Assures bar is properly Set Up before service: clean and sanitized, properly stocked with a supply of all beverages and ingredients, glassware, napkins, stirrers, picks, pourers, jiggers, knives, cutting boards, etc.; prepare all garnishes; ensuring that all drafts are functioning properly, checking keg levels and staging replacements when needed
- Sets up and breaks down and sanitizes bar, cleaning and sanitizing all glassware and bar tools, re-stocking wine, beer and liquor, condiments, etc.
- Is responsible for cash drawer/bank, before and after service counts, cash transactions, credit receipts, etc.
- Properly counts and reports all tips, and assists management with tip reporting and distribution
- Maintains liquor cost controls with measured pours.
- Inventory counting and control work as assigned.
- Maintains all health codes and sanitation requirements.
- Must abide by CS Venue’s grooming and hygiene policy.

- Must have at least 1-3 years bartending experience commensurate with style of hiring venue (fine dining, casual, walkup, etc.).
- Must have basic wine knowledge and knowledge of CS Venue’s full wine and bar list.
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow instruction and fill drink orders in a timely and neat fashion.
- Complete understanding of all front of the house equipment.
- Understanding of POS system.
- Must have and maintain current certification by recognized Alcohol Service Training provider
