Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Product Packager to join their team in Sparta, NJ. This position is responsible for accurately preparing customer orders for shipment while ensuring the correct products, packaging materials, labels, and documentation are included with every order.

The ideal candidate has previous packaging, fulfillment, warehouse, or production experience and is comfortable working with hand tools, packaging equipment, computer systems, and RF scanners.

What You'll Do

• Accurately pack customer orders using the correct products and packaging materials
• Select and assemble the appropriate box for each order
• Inspect products and materials for defects and ensure packaging specifications are met
• Read and verify orders, including special customer requirements
• Print and attach packing slips and shipping documentation
• Apply the correct labels to packages
• Use RF scanning systems to process and verify inventory and orders
• Operate basic packaging tools and equipment, including tape machines and hand tools
• Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the packaging process
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Move materials between storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles as needed
• Follow established quality, production, and safety procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 1 year of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous packaging, fulfillment, warehouse, production, or shipping experience preferred
• Basic packaging skills, including use of hand tools, tape machines, and packaging materials
• Basic computer skills required
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Familiarity with RF scanning systems preferred
• Knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and follow order specifications and customer requirements
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to stand for sustained periods of time
• Ability to move freight, stock, and other materials weighing up to 125 lbs. by hand or with appropriate equipment

Important Physical Requirement

This position requires regular standing and material handling, including the ability to move materials weighing up to 125 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment and handling materials safely using proper equipment and procedures.
