The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Assistant Controller to partner with our CFO and lead the day-to-day accounting operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and driving strategic improvements.
You’ll play a key role in financial reporting, team leadership, and process optimization—helping ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our financial operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Perform and present variance analysis with actionable insights
- Support audit processes and preparation of audited financial statements
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations and supervise team members
- Review AIA billings, lien releases, and construction-related accounting documents
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting schedules
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Identify and implement process and system improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with operational teams to align financial and business performance
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience managing general ledger, AP/AR, and financial close processes
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Nice to Have:
- B2B experience preferred
- GC/Construction/ Business Services Experience preferred
- Experience with construction accounting and AIA billing
- Experience with ERP systems
