About the Role:
- The Import/Export Administrator 1 will operate as a Logistics Specialist to support the Import/Export team in coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- This is an excellent entry point for someone looking to build a career in global supply chain and trade logistics within the crop protection industry.
- Coordinate ocean, air, and ground freight shipments with carriers and freight forwarders
- Prepare and review export/import documentation (commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, packing lists)
- Track shipments end-to-end and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders
- Assist with booking management, container tracking, and resolution of shipping discrepancies
- Maintain records in SAP (shipment documents, delivery notes) and internal tracking systems
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the logistics function
Required:
- 0 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or trade operations
- Basic understanding of import/export regulations and Incoterms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with SAP (SD/MM modules or Global Trade Services)
- Experience with ocean freight or containerized shipments
- Exposure to US customs processes (HTS classification, ISF, ACE portal)
Required:
- Associate degree OR Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or related field
- OR currently enrolled and pursuing one of the above degrees
- Coursework or projects in logistics, supply chain operations, or international trade
- Prior internship or work experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or trade operations
