Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Register new patients and accurately enter demographics into the EMR system
- Schedule appointments across multiple providers and specialties
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect copays, and resolve billing-related questions
- Gather and document insurance and billing information as needed
- Manage inbound calls from patients, providers, and external offices
- Support check-in and check-out processes to maintain efficient patient flow
- Expert-level experience in Patient Access or Patient Registration
- Strong knowledge of patient demographics and medical terminology
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems, including Epic
- Experience with insurance verification, copay collection, and basic billing support
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and compassionate approach
- Background in Patient Access, Front Desk, or Medical Office Administration
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
