About The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Scheduler / Patient Access Representative to join a well-established and reputable healthcare system in Eureka. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—helping create a positive and seamless experience from check-in to registration.
What You’ll Do
- Check in and register patients efficiently and accurately
- Collect and verify patient demographics and photo identification
- Verify insurance coverage and confirm eligibility
- Determine payment options (self-pay vs. assistance programs)
- Explain consent forms and provide admissions paperwork
- Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to also work independently
- Onsite position in Eureka, CA
- Alternate Work Schedule (AWS): 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Days: Likely Monday–Thursday (subject to change)
