We are seeking a motivated Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to provide first-level technical support in a Windows-based environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is passionate about troubleshooting, customer service, and supporting end users in a fast-paced corporate setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end users via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate issues related to Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive)
  • Perform Active Directory tasks including password resets, account unlocks, and user account updates
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Support mobile devices and assist with basic Mobile Device Management (MDM) tasks
  • Document all incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, Jira)
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2/3 support teams as needed
  • Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to knowledge base documentation


Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience (internships or training programs acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and common troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and basic desktop support tasks
  • Exposure to Active Directory or user account management preferred
  • Experience with ticketing systems is a plus
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, connectivity issues)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.
