About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and service‑oriented Healthcare Receptionist to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, helping to ensure they receive exceptional support throughout their care journey. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and has strong communication and administrative skills.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  
  
  

This is an on‑site position at a small prosthetics & orthotics clinic

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, or in-person interactions
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with medical providers as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Verify insurance information and assist with authorization processes
• Provide clear, empathetic support to patients and families regarding care plans and next steps
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist with general office tasks, including data entry and documentation
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or scheduling strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Battle Creek, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.15 - $20.00/hr.
