We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Lead to oversee and actively support deskside operations in a corporate environment. This role requires a hands‑on leader who can manage a team of deskside technicians while continuing to resolve tickets personally. The ideal candidate has strong Windows client support experience, a customer‑first mindset, and proven leadership—preferably with prior military or structured leadership background .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of deskside support technicians while remaining actively involved in ticket resolution.
- Provide hands‑on deskside support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and Windows client issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex desktop and end‑user support issues.
- Provide executive‑level/VIP deskside support, including direct support for C‑level executives.
- Coordinate daily workload, ticket prioritization, and resource allocation for the deskside team.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, service quality standards, and customer satisfaction expectations.
- Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, and IT leadership teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for deskside support operations.
- Promote a customer‑first service culture across the deskside team.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Deskside Team Lead, actively closing deskside tickets while managing a team of deskside resources.
- Candidates with Service Desk Team Lead experience may be considered only if they have direct, hands‑on deskside leadership experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Executive/VIP deskside support experience, supporting C‑level leadership.
- Minimum 3 years of Windows desktop support experience (Windows 10/11; Windows 7 exposure acceptable) in a corporate environment.
- Minimum 5 years of total end‑user technology support experience, including LAN/networking support in an enterprise environment.
- Strong, current hands‑on Windows deskside client support expertise.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven customer‑first mindset.
- Ability to lead by example in fast‑paced, high‑visibility environments.
- Prior military leadership experience.
- Experience working in healthcare or clinical environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (other ITSM tools acceptable if ServiceNow experience is not present).
- Hands‑on leader who balances people management with direct technical work.
- Comfortable supporting executives and high‑profile users.
- Organized, decisive, and capable of making quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong communicator able to lead teams and engage senior stakeholders.
