The Administrative Assistant provides high‑level internal and customer-facing support across Customer Service, Sales, Dispatch, and Operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate service information, smooth administrative processes, and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary internal resource for informational requests, service issue troubleshooting, and cross‑department coordination
- Support Customer Service and Sales teams by verifying, reporting, and tracking complaint data for commercial and residential customers
- Prepare and process service request updates related to transactional add‑on sales for existing customers
- Assist with planning, documenting, and improving administrative workflows and department processes
- Respond to occasional customer inquiries regarding recycling, waste hauling, and processing services
- Maintain and continuously update a working knowledge of company services, offerings, and internal procedures
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned
- Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and a solutions‑oriented mindset
- Prior experience in an administrative, customer service, or office support role (any industry)
- Comfortable using common business software (email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Professional, positive, and customer‑focused demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1 year of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, restaurant, or property management experience welcome)
- Empathetic communicator who is also action‑oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook (Excel training available)
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
- Strong critical thinking and decision‑making abilities
- Previous office or administrative experience
- Experience using CRM or customer management systems
- Comfort handling challenging or escalated customer interactions
