What You'll Do
- Assist with installation of fiber optic and copper cables in underground, aerial, and conduit systems
- Support fiber splicing, termination, and testing activities
- Perform cable routing, labeling, and documentation
- Use test equipment (OTDR, power meters) to validate network performance
- Inspect and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate records of builds, repairs, and maintenance work
- Follow safety standards and procedures at all times
- Work alongside engineers, technicians, and contractors to support infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong interest in telecommunications, networking, or data centers
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Fiber optic or telecommunications training/certification
- Basic understanding of fiber (splicing, connectors, single-mode vs. multi-mode)
- Experience with hand tools or construction environments
- OSHA 10 certification
- Exposure to data center or structured cabling work
