Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to develop and manage production schedules, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and ensure production demands are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production workflows across multiple projects and processes.
- Develop and prioritize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Determine required manpower, equipment, and raw materials based on production demand.
- Schedule shifts according to production requirements.
- Monitor production progress and ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
- Identify and resolve production issues with minimal disruption.
- Track production output, finished goods, and defective products.
- Prepare and submit production status and performance reports.
- Create purchase requests based on customer orders and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and organized production documentation.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Assist with the development and improvement of the company’s ERP system.
- Maintain inventory levels to support production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar manufacturing planning role.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Good understanding of mathematics and statistics.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
