Pharmacy Technician – Sterile Compounding (Part-Time)
Location: Hinsdale, IL | Additional locations: New Lenox and Morris, IL
Schedule: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient infusion pharmacy operations. The primary location is Hinsdale, with travel to New Lenox and Morris as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile IV medications and infusion admixtures using aseptic techniques.
- Handle hazardous medications in compliance with safety protocols.
- Accurately measure, label, and prepare patient-specific medications.
- Manage inventory and maintain compounding, temperature, and waste documentation.
- Maintain cleanroom standards and follow USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines.
- Coordinate medication preparation with scheduled infusion appointments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license or registration.
- Minimum 1 year of sterile compounding or IV room experience.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and hazardous drug handling.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel between assigned locations.
