Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance & Tax Specialist to manage business client accounts, review financial records, support tax preparation, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has hands-on QuickBooks Online experience, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to identify financial issues and communicate solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, general ledgers, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
- Ensure bookkeeping records are accurate, organized, and tax-ready.
- Prepare tax workpapers and coordinate with tax preparers on filings.
- Review IRS and state tax notices and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Support small businesses with accounting and tax setup for LLCs, corporations, and S corporations.
- Communicate with clients, request missing documents, and track deadlines.
- Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and escalate complex matters when needed.
- Manage multiple client accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, financial review, or tax-support experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Understanding of U.S. accounting principles, reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end procedures.
- Practical knowledge of individual and business tax preparation.
- Experience handling or reviewing IRS and state tax notices.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, client-service, and time-management skills.
