Boiler Technician – Job Summary
Job Type: Full-time
Location: On-site (Greater Syracuse-Auburn Area)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial boiler, burner, and control systems.
- Conduct combustion tuning, burner adjustments, and efficiency analysis.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues.
- Service hot water and steam boiler systems, including associated equipment such as feedwater systems, deaerators, blowdown systems, economizers, and heat exchangers.
- Complete burner and control system upgrades and conversions.
- Identify opportunities to improve boiler room reliability and energy efficiency.
- Prepare technical service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Deliver professional customer service while ensuring safe and efficient field operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with boiler, burner, or combustion systems is preferred; apprentices with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of commercial/industrial hot water and steam systems.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshoot control systems.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical report-writing abilities.
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in field service environments.
Salary : $30 - $40
