Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Home Architect to join a growing team specializing in high-end custom residential architecture and interior design. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who is passionate about designing luxury homes, collaborating with clients, and managing projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design custom residential homes from conceptual design through construction documentation.
- Prepare architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and BIM technology.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams throughout all phases of design.
- Apply strong knowledge of structural systems, building codes, and construction principles.
- Coordinate exterior and interior residential design while ensuring functionality and aesthetics.
- Produce detailed construction documents and assist with project coordination.
- Participate in design presentations and client meetings.
- Maintain high standards of quality, creativity, and technical accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Experience in custom residential architecture.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and architectural documentation.
- Knowledge of residential construction methods, structural concepts, and building principles.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Charlottesville, VA or relocate prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing luxury or high-end custom homes.
- Strong hand sketching and conceptual design abilities.
- Familiarity with interior residential design.
- Experience with 3D architectural modeling and visualization tools such as Lumion.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment.
